As the Camper Journey nears its conclusion, campers will transition into the role of organizers, utilizing the strengths and ingenuity they have acquired through previous projects. Their task will involve designing a self-initiated project aimed at benefiting individuals who are not members of HKUYL. Campers were given hands-on experience in the preparation work required for designing programs and activities for participants, whilst Committee Members generously provided Campers with invaluable guidance along the way. CCC is anticipated to create a lasting impact on all participants, inspiring them and equipping them with valuable skills that they could carry forward in life, at the same time cultivating cherished memories and meaningful experiences that both participants and Campers can fondly look back on in the years to come.

Introduction by Organising Committee

The 32nd CCC encompasses a two-month summer programme organized by the 32nd HKUYL Campers. Our main objective is to foster future leaders by enhancing participants' leadership skills, expanding their social networks, and creating lasting and cherished memories. We eagerly anticipate witnessing participants excel in diverse areas and use their newfound confidence to step out of their comfort zones.

As you embark on a mesmerizing journey through the enigmatic nights of Astrodia, envision a blank canvas awaiting your artistic touch to bring your dreams to life. Each stroke of your imagination will be unique, vibrant, and invaluable. Throughout Astrodia, we have curated a range of activities that will allow you to explore the vast universe and immerse yourself in stellar experiences. The Orientation Day will guide you into this extraordinary journey, while the workshop will weave all the elements together. The pinnacle of the project is the four-day-three-night camp, which will be the constellation of your experiences. Lastly, the closing ceremony will serve as a grand finale, celebrating your accomplishments, reminiscing the memories made, and looking forward to the promising days ahead, filled with untold wonders.

Orientation Day

The Orientation Day of the Camper-cum-Committee Project (CCC) was successfully held on 18th July, 2024, marking the commencement of the fourth and final stage of the 32nd HKUYL.

The Camper-cum-Committee Project (CCC) serves as a platform for Campers to apply their strength, ingenuity and everything they have learnt in the field, as they take up the role of organizers and arrange their own project for non-members of HKUYL. Following their division into 10 groups, Campers guided participants through a City Tracing activity. This interactive experience encouraged participants to explore the city, navigate between various checkpoints and complete engaging tasks along the way. Throughout this process, Campers worked in collaboration with their assigned groupmates to guide participants, strengthening their teamwork and critical thinking skills.

Workshop

The Workshop of the Camper-cum-Committee Project (CCC) was successfully held on 2nd August, 2024 at Cheung Chuk Shan College. The workshop commenced with an engaging series of presentations from all ten groups. Participants introduced their group names, slogans, and distinctive gestures before unveiling their meticulously handcrafted Time Machine models. This creative endeavor provided an opportunity for participants to refine their skills in creativity, hands-on crafting, teamwork, and effective presentation. The interactive Q&A session facilitates a deeper understanding of each group's concepts and the intricacies of their time machine models, broadening participants' perspectives and enriching their overall experience.

Following their presentations, the workshop's highlight was the immersive Room Escape session and the dynamic Campus Tracing activities. These thoughtfully designed activities aimed to enhance participants' problem-solving skills, social awareness, subject knowledge, and critical thinking. Various challenges are designed for participants by Campers to work out collaboratively. Through their engagement in teamwork, not only did it test their abilities but also foster meaningful connections among them. The comprehensive approach offers a well-rounded experience, empowering participants to enrich their personal development while cultivating essential problem-solving skills that will benefit them long after the workshop concludes.

Camp

The pinnacle of CCC journey is the four-day-three-night Camp, held from August 12th to 15th at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. It has marked a significant milestone, bringing together participants for an enriching blend of collaboration, learning, and personal growth.

The squad song performances and talent show showcased each group's unique characteristics through dance and singing, creating a vibrant atmosphere for celebrating shared memories and enhancing camaraderie. The camp also featured exhilarating indoor and outdoor mass games that strengthened team bonds and improved problem-solving skills. Themed activities cultivated specific abilities, enriching participants' strategic planning and fostering a collaborative spirit.

Participants engaged in a captivating detective game, working together to solve an enigmatic case and honing their critical thinking and resilience. The Campfire and Disco Night highlighted the CCC Camp, uniting participants, Campers, Committee Members, and Alumni in a lively celebration of camaraderie and the symbolic passing of the torch.

The Camp concluded with a poignant "Lightning Talk" session, where various groups and participants shared heartfelt expressions of gratitude towards Campers. This emotional gathering was filled with laughter, tears, and touching moments, creating an atmosphere of reflection and connection. The session encapsulated the unforgettable experiences of the camp, leaving a lasting impression as participants celebrated the bonds they had formed in this camp and this journey as well.

Closing Ceremony

The Closing Ceremony of the Camper-cum-Committee Project (CCC) at Wah Yan College, Hong Kong, on August 21, 2024, was a culmination of creativity and unity. Participants engaged in crafting tutelary deities, creating group-specific videos, and sharing heartfelt moments that showcased their growth and camaraderie. The event exuded a spirit of celebration and reflection, encapsulating the essence of their unforgettable journey.

Emotions ran high during the ceremony, with laughter, tears, and profound acknowledgments of the bonds forged throughout the CCC project. The atmosphere was charged with energy as participants expressed gratitude, shared memories, and cheered each other on. It was a fitting sendoff, marking the end of a transformative experience that had left an indelible mark on all involved.

The Family Time segment provided a space for Astrodians and Campers to deepen their connections through personal notes and reflections. This segment added a layer of intimacy to the event, fostering a sense of community and reinforcing the lasting impact of the CCC project. In the end, the Closing Ceremony stood as a testament to the shared growth, connections, and accomplishments that defined this remarkable journey for all participants.
