LEE, TAK HEI DUNCAN
ST. JOSEPH’S COLLEGE
If there’s no change, be the change.
Since the beginning of time, there’s a thing, a person, an occasion. Filled with unlimited possibilities, imagination, and hope. Some believe in it, some don’t; Some say it appears once in a blue moon, while some claim that it is dug deep down our hearts, waiting to be unburied; Some wait for it, while some make it happen. I call it, miracles.
The reason why miracles are miracles is that no one would ever expect it to happen until it happened: No one would ever expect Usain Bolt breaking the world record before the moment he reaches the finish line. Just like no one expected Nelson Mandela to achieve peace in South Africa until the revolution is claimed to be victorious.
So, the same logic. You’ll never know whether you’re gonna succeed or not until you do it, neither does anybody else. Miracles never orbit on a “can you do it?”, but rather an “are you gonna do it?”. People deny you ‘cause they don’t know that, behind the word failure, there’s the word miracle gradually appearing.
Do what you believe in, and believe in what you do.
